Vlad Strukov (PhD) is a London-based multidisciplinary researcher, curator, and cultural practitioner, specializing in art, media, and technology cross-overs. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Leeds (the UK), working on global visual cultures. He is currently carrying out a major research project, funded by the Swedish Research Council, on contemporary queer visual culture. He is the author of many research publications, including a monograph on contemporary Russian cinema (Edinburgh 2016). He makes regular appearances in international media such as Al Jazeera, American Public Radio, the BBC, RBK, and others.
